Medical Imaging
  • CT (COMPUTERIZED TOMOGRAPHY) We recently purchased a Helical Quad Multi-view CT Scanner.  This has made it possible for us to do more exams that were not possible in the past; it has also decreased the time involved in performing the exams which is better for the comfort of our patients.  Our Scans are sent directly to our Radiologist from the CT scanner, so result times have improved considerably. We are currently able to perform PE (Pulmonary Emboli) scans.  Our new unit can reconstruct in 3D which is helpful to Orthopedic Surgeons in virtual reconstructions before surgery.

  • Mammography We have an ACR certified Mammography Unit and can perform Screening Mammograms, Diagnostic Mammograms and Breast Localizations prior to surgery.  We currently have one full time Mammographer who has specialized in mammography for the last 12 years and one part time Mammographer who has five years experience.  We are offering mammogram appointments Monday through Friday and one Saturday a month to accommodate those patients who are not able to have appointments during the week days.

  • Fluoroscopy Our Fluoroscopy and x-ray unit is one of the newest on the market.  We provide Fluoroscopy exams two mornings a week with a qualified Radiologist.

  • Bone Densitometry We can now provide Bone densitometry screening. It is Fast: from patient scanning to printed report - all in just a few minutes.  It is Accurate:: Peer reviewed articles indicate QCT has the edge for diagnostic accuracy as well as precision to monitor drug therapies over other BMD techniques.

  • MRI We offer MRI services. We have a brand new mobile MRI that comes one day a week, with afternoon appointments and the possibility of some evenings.

Emergency Services

Teton Valley Hospital offers an emergency room covered by physicians or mid-level medical providers on-site 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The emergency room is covered by a skilled and compassionate physician and nursing staff that includes experts in emergency wilderness medicine, family practice, sports medicine and orthopaedics. Our physicians consult with other experts around the region to ensure you receive a correct diagnosis and the right treatment for you.

Our hospital works closely with Teton Valley Ambulance to make sure we provide our community with the best emergency care possible. Teton Valley Ambulance has one of the shortest response times in the state for a rural community of our size. When minutes count during a serious medical emergency, we are only 20 minutes by helicopter to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center, which has the only verified trauma center in the state.

We realize no one wants to visit an emergency room, but when you have to visit us at the Teton Valley Hospital emergency room, we make sure your experience is as positive as possible
