For Immediate Release Teton Valley Hospital - (03/31/2006) - After allowing time for installation and FDA-required inspections, the Lorad M-IV Platinum system was put into active service last week. The acquisition of up-to-date equipment was essential to the continuation of locally-based breast cancer screenings.

As a resident, Im grateful to be a part of such a generous and supportive community, says Martha Austin, executive director of the Teton Valley Hospital Foundation adding that residents donated over $40,000 toward a matching grant challenge from the M.J. Murdock Charitable Trust. In all, Murdock awarded $200,000 to the hospital foundation.
The addition of the $81,000 Lorad system completes the hospitals $1.2 million capital campaign to expand diagnostic services. Other recent acquisitions include a 3-D ultrasound machine, state-of-the-art surgical table, multi-helical CT scan and bone densitometer.
