Supplemental Levy Approved by Voters
Teton County residents cast their ballots yesterday with approximately 62% voting IN FAVOR of Teton Valley Health Care's request for a supplemental tax levy. This is a vital link on the road to recovery for the local, critical access hospital. The levy is estimated to bring in $1.2-1.3 million a year to the hospital over the next two years.
Floyd Bounds, CEO, would like to thank the employees, Board of Trustees, County Commissioners, private donors, local Rotarians, and everyone else throughout the community who has supported keeping Teton Valley Health Care in our valley. Mr. Bounds stated, "He is greatly appreciative of your vote of confidence."
Teton Valley Health Care is committed to ensuring that your tax dollars are spent wisely and in the best interests of our community as a whole. The passing of the levy is a step in the right direction; Administration admits there is still a lot of work to be done but with the community support, they are well on their way.
